Can anyone confirm what kind of chickens these are for me?
Not sure..... you don't have any idea? Feathered legs, could be a marans but does not really look right for that. Cochin? but they don't look right for that either. Brahma mix? Olive Eggers?

. These were the first ones I bought this summer before I learned about BYC and different breeds.

Could be a Cochin/Silkie cross. The F1 generation wouldn't have the silky feathers. Could be a Wyandotte/Cochin cross or an Am/Cochin cross or a Wyandotte/Am. If you come up with green eggs that would tell part of the story for sure.

Im still waiting on eggs :-(

I think they are cute

I am having fun trying to nail down what sex my OE chicks are going to be. They had a spread hatch.

. The oldest one is a blue and feathered fast with a sprouting tail but the comb looks broad. The other two are chipmunk marked with wing feathers but the body and tails are still fluff. The smallest one has a narrow pale comb. The others comb is somewhat in between.

Had to go get feed today and on the way got to see the excitement of the tanker truck that blew up. I could see it about 5 miles from the farm all the way over. HUGE cloud of black smoke. Fire trucks were still coming down the hwy when we got there. Glad nobody was hurt.

Got our feed and headed back on I440 the wrapping started coming off, we hoped we would make it but by the time we got to I40 the wrap was OFF and we were afraid we would loose feed if we didn't do something. Hubby is not supposed to lift ANYTHING! We had to move about 7 bags to the pickup bed from the trailer. It was uneventful after that. Thank goodness. I think I will put a roll of packing tape in the truck..... this happens too much.

I was wondering if I could join this thread. I am from East Tn but I can not find an active thread for East Tn.
