The Middle Tennessee Thread

Holly,
We have been calling him/her Widget and I got the egg from Soggy Bottom Farm. I hope that Widget is good enough quality for what you are doing.
We will have to get together at some point to transfer Widget to you. I don't usually go to Lebanon but I am sure we will work something out.
Lori

Hi all. Everyone stay dry this morning? (ok, besides Holly? You are a good woman to getbout in that!).

My 6 year old had his tonsils removed this morning, we are in recovery mode and missing spending time with the chicks today

Lori so glad you won the egg finally. Please post pics when the hatch is done. The procedure was just some cosmetic stuff but I am healing well. Loving the results.
Matlock glad your other half is doing well. I assume no stone to sell

1newegg- ohhhhh, those lavenders are beautiful!!! I so want a few Ameraucana pullets. Those muffs and beards are just tOo insanely cute.

Ds is doing amazingly well after his tonsillectomy. Unlimited Popsicles sure do help.

Wow! Those are GORGEOUS lavs!!!! Can't wait to see them all grown up.

I've been incommunicado for a while. Let me see if I can catch up.

Tracyree- glad your son is feeling better. My neice gets hers out at the end of July. Fun times.

Tish- glad you are also feeling better. We missed you at dinner the other day. I tried to sell some of your silkies the other day. I had a lady wanting just a pullet and I only have a pair left. I told her that we pretty much could do any color you wanted in the middle TN area. She's getting settled with her first 6 and will be back in touch later.

Welcome Countrypunk and Amen! We are all nuts here and all enablers. Be prepared to expand your pens.

Holly- I thought of you today. A funky little silkie has hatched from my mixed pen. It looks to be blue with a buff head. Can't wait to see it all feathered out. It's still a smidge soggy at the moment. As soon as she is up and fluffy I will get pictures of the little mutant for you. I know how you love the funky ones.

Emma- I will be thinking of you tomorrow and praying that it is all a false alarm.

Congrats on the egg win! That is very exciting!

Matlock- I'm behind. What are you hatching now? Glad your wife is doing okay. I hope she is back up to speed soon!

Has anyone heard from Les and Joe? What has happened to our male contingent?

Believer- Hi! I haven't talked to you in forever. Are your lot all doing okay? Still rampaging about?

Jenski- I know you are busy, busy but come back and chat! I miss your cheery morning posts.

My new round of marans came today. I'll set them tomorrow. Fingers crossed that something hatches this time. The lone maran that hatched last time is still having leg issues. I did the bandaid trick and it seems to have helped. I took it off today. We'll see how it goes. It is as cute as it can be and very sweet. I hope it makes it. The two bonus chicks (lakenvelders) are doing awesome.

I'm off to do some outside chores. Have a great evening all!

Emmalyn-I'm going to be in M'Boro Sun late morning...I hope.I have to try and meet with several different people so hoping I can do it all at one time..if that works for you give me a shout.

Citygirl-that sounds pretty.I'm hoping Toast will one day look at a hen and another day try to figure out what to do with one...he's so clueless

Him with my dark blue-she looks black to most people I think will make some interesting colored chicks.

My chicks set to hatch on Friday began popping last night...guess under those fluffy Cochin's it gets pretty warm.So far all blue chicks not sure if they are going to be solid or mottled because someone

didn't write on all of the eggs which pen they came from.

Anne- thank you, we can only hope. We have to be at the appt today at 1.

Holly- I will have a crap load of people in my house on Sunday, I work on Saturday and plan on curling up and hiding on Monday. So this weekend won't work but I am willing to try and get something worked out next. Possible for you?

Tisha- I chatted up your showgirls to several people and told them to contact you. Hopefully you will hear something and maybe move along the ones you don't plan on keeping.

Matlock- did I scare you away with my coop questions? Hope not and that your absence is not First Lady related in the way of a procedure problem.

To all good morning and I woke up to a wonderful surprise. My first peachick hatched. I have one more egg in there, another peachick and we had movement last night. They were due to hatch Saturday, I guess I have an over achiever.
