No it's not my name; that would be Philip. I just live in Pegram. Actually I'm as far away from Pegram you can get and still have a Pegram address probably. We are half way down River Road, off Pond Creek, off Little Pond Creek, at the end of Indian Springs. Some people remember it as the 'Hippy Hollar" I've been told the Gaskin bunch down on the Farm in Summertown actually lived out here for awhile many years ago.

I need to lay off on hatching anyway. I hatched 26 new chicks and 14 more will come the first of the week and I am getting 18 Marans eggs from Raven1 for my birthday!!!! I will let these guys grow some before I get anymore eggs

Maybe closer to Christmas would work. I would like them close to laying in the spring and I will need a roo! I knew you were not on the computer much cuz you told me you were busy.

BTW I only want the leghorns for layer not breeders. I understand you desire for better chickens.

Raven1 was the one wanting those eggs and I told her about you and that if I heard back I would ask about them for her.

Yes, must stop hatching. I swapped my Brahma Roosters out with the hens today; I figure its going to take e few weeks before they will show sign of getting along. I’m going to set another 24 or so eggs this weekend from the first Roo; that will give me a couple dozen to pick from. It will be interesting to see if I get different traits from the second Roo that are noticeably different. I also took some closer looks to see if I could find the source of my vulture hock feathered pullet; seems one of my hens has this pretty obviously now that I know what I’m looking for. I will put my Leghorn Roo back with the ladies soon. He is just SOOO mean and I get tired of fighting with him while I’ve been remodeling. I have some young Leghorns in the brooder and 2 pullets and 2 cockerels that are right at 6 weeks old if you just want to have a couple for the first of the year.

You can HAVE either or both of these 6 week old Leghorn cockerels whenever you want to pick them up. They are just here because of that 50/50 odds thing about eggs. I just wanted a few more fresh pullets for the spring.

I will take you up on that... I may have to sneak him in...my pullets are about that age too. I will get in touch but it may be a few weeks, sorry. I have some birds coming this weekend, D'uccles and next the marans eggs so don't disappear on me! I will pm you and we can work it out.
