Thanks, Emmalynn, I just made a leg hook from a coat hanger. I've got to run an errand, but when I get back, I'll give it a try. Stubborn chickens! You'd think I was about to kill them rather than put them in a much nicer and larger coop!

2 of the chicks turned out as black as can be..one pullet and one rooster.Not a hint anywhere of anything close to being copper.

Well in that case he has copper genes and I can't use him for my solids. The good news is you can still have all the bantams you want!
