Robin - I passed "six oh" two years ago, and I can sure identify with what you wrote. I struggle with those 50 lb bags of feed. Although I sometimes lift them myself, I usually ask the store folks to load them into my car - and then get my husband or son to take them out to the chicken house. Old age ain't for sissies!

Oops, I was replying to Carol on this line.
Until you're the only one around to unload a ton of hay or feed. sigh But I can say that few of our city sisters could claim an ability to do that if faced with it.

Raven, my wisdom seems a bit slower these days too. But my bluntness seems to be gaining ground rapidly.

Yep everything about me is slower, my mind, my feet, ... but yes maam my "blunt tell it like it is" is in rare form these days. I think we have just gotten to that point where the shy, coy crap just ain't worth it!

Is this the Raven with the five little d'Uccle boys?

LOL Yes. And the patience meter for stupidity has gone straight South too. I never did suffer fools lightly but these days?

I will be visiting family in Nashville and Mt. Juliet area in Jan-Feb and am trying to get my cousin set up for BYCing! We are looking for Australorps and Wynadottes. Are there any people who might have chicks or pullets around that time frame (or later in the spring) in that area? Would love to connect up and "talk chicken".

Hi
We have Blue laced red and partridge Wyandotte's straight Foley bred.I won't have chicks then but have a beautiful trio of blrw for sale.I will have chicks in both later in the Spring. My avaitor is my roo just learning to crow...that's why he's so upright. Now,he's much more mature and beautiful.

OK hubby is trying to talk me out of the show tomorrow. When and where is the next one and is there a list of these shows somewhere? I know you guys are members of clubs that publish them I am sure. LF not just bantams. What shows are better than others? What about the Newnan Show? We have tons of friends to visit in Atlanta area so that would be a good drive and visit too.
