Quote: For the price they charge they should be TOP FLIGHT birds, but I have not seen it. The Marans I would not take if you GAVE them to me. They are just a HIGH DOLLAR HATCHERY and don't really seem to care about quality, just what can they get the most money for.

I have had a couple of people buy replacement pullets from me, they too lost their birds to a bobcat. One found the den with more dead chickens. Went back and they were GONE.... that bobcat was WATCHING

Do be VERY CAREFUL... they are very dangerous. What are you going to do if you catch it??????

I am so excited I had a Salmon Faverolle pullet go broody that had only been laying about 3 weeks. So I decided to put a few eggs under her to see what happened and 4 out of the 6 have hatched today. This is the first 2 that hatched

I sent another email and asked for my money back. I will wait and see what they're response is. And no - I paid with a check - no credit card. :)

Well, all that effort to get the big trap and all I caught was a stupid possum in it last night. Sigh. The game cam SD card was acting up so I don't even know if the bobcat came by. If I can figure out how to get the possum into the live bait section he is so going to be tonight's bait.

There are a couple of options if I actually ever catch him. He looks injured in the video. If he's really bad off my neighbor will come shoot him for me. If he's not so bad I'll call Walden's Puddle to come get him and try to rehab him to be released elsewhere. Like a state park or something well away from humanity! He has come up in my yard pretty much everynight for weeks now. Clearly he is getting over his fear of humans. I expect it is because he is hungry and he can't hunt well with a bum leg. Either way, he really can't be in my yard. I am out there after dark a LOT and really don't want to run into him!!
