The most dangerous cake recipe in the world!

You guys are NOT going to believe what happened to us when I attempted to make this. Oh my I can be a bubble head sometimes!
I keep my oil and vinegar in big jugs under the sink. Last week I used the last of my big jug of oil to refill the deepfryer. At the same time I had shampooed my carpets and have a similar size shaped jug that the cleaning solution comes in.
Ya, I didn't have time to put it back in the cleaning cupboard so I conveniently stuck it in the place the OIL usually is beside the vinegar...you all can guess what happened next...
My son decided he wanted to try this recipe, but he eats it while it is still batter. We made it, and the first spoonful he swallowed he started gagging. Funny thing is I smelled it in the room and right out asked him where that perfume smell was coming from....haha!
Anyway, five minutes later i am in a panic on the phone with the poison control center....
And I have to say, neither one of us have a taste for this recipe anymore:>) LOL!

You should have finished it. It really would have cleaned out your system!

OMG that cake was the Devil in mug. I am going to have to lose that recipe or else I will be gaining a ton! Yummy Thanks for sharing!

This has got to be the most disgusting thing I've ever eaten.
It looks like something people would put between the walls when they're making it.
It was so spongy and gross..

I tried it three times and it was at 1000 watts too...

okay, I tried it. it was okay, but I wasn't in love, to be honest. which is a good thing, so that I don't make it all the time and gobble it up! I have a 1,500-watt microwave, so I only cooked it 2-1/2 minutes, but it was still a tad rubbery. I followed the recipe exactly as written, and didn't put in the optional chocolate chips.

it's not bad, but I did a fast calorie count in my head and just the calories from the oil (360) and the sugar (195) scared me, so I plugged it into a calorie counter and, gasp, there are 779 calories in the recipe, without the chocolate chips!

so, there are lots of things I like better for 779 calories to eat instead.

but thanks for posting it. I'm sure with a bit of tinkering I'd like it better, so my waistline is better off not doing so!!!!

I substituted applesuace for the oil, Splenda for the sugar, and sugar free hot chocolate (1T) for the cocoa. I'm using sugar and fat free ice cream, and it's awesome, with less calories.

I did the applesauce swap too- hardly noticed a difference! Also used just the egg white- left the yolk out.

I'll admit it does come out a little rubbery, maybe I haven't mastered the timing yet. Regardless, the chocolate chips are a necessity IMHO and it's best (even when rubbery) served with a big scoop of ice cream.

Almost like a brownie sunday.

Finally tried it and was impressed. I subbed oil for butter and used wholemeal flour. It was spongy and not too moist which is how I prefer it. Next time I'll ditch the choc chips and add raisins instead.
