The Most Dangerous Coffee Shop- A Role Play

Haddie released not-Ellie as the werewolf snarled at it. She watched, surprised, at the ruthless nature of the beast. "I vote she goes," shifting back onto a human, "cause, while I think you're pretty cool, I know enough about werewolves to know that the wolf side can be a bit chaotic, which is great when tracking killer body copiers!" She added hastily, seeing the glare Blair gave her. "Also, just for the record, I wanna say that I can't do that. Steal bodies I mean. Cuz that's just weird." She looked distasteful after the retreating beast.
"You steal the bodies of animals," Charlie pointed out, becoming momentarily visible again. "There's probably a squirrel out there that looks just like you."
Ellie gulped hurrying backwards away from Blair straight into Charlie @RoostersAreAwesome
"Oof," Charlie muttered, "maybe don't walk backwards next time. Hey, you're the shifter. Uh- the person the shifter looked like." He tugged on his hood.

“Yeah no kidding” Ellie quipped. (Sorry guys I have been out raking leaves we are under bad threat from bushfires)

"I wouldn't be so sure of yourself, sweetheart!" Blair snarled after the figure, letting the knife clatter to the ground. "This is a game now. A game that I will win, whether you expect it or not," her voice was low, as if she was talking to herself more then anything. She felt the normal Blair trying to creep forward, but she shoved her out of the way. She swept her gaze over the group, before they landed on Kyle. She strode forward, and even though she limped, she carried an air of confidence surrounding her. "Little man," she cooed softly. "Would you like me to go find the little brats, or..." She straightened, beckoning to the group. "Send one of the incompetent members of your pathetic squad to find them? It would be quite a shame if the brats died due to this groups lack of actually skill or bravery, you know. Even if I highly dislike them, just give me your word and I will find them in a few minutes flat." She gave a slightly childish laugh that didn't quite fit the growling voice the wolf side of her took on. "Or I'll just do it without your word, either way. I don't need anyone's approval."
Kyle crossed his toothpick arms and stared up at her with dignity. The young hothead with no experience was at it again, trying to do everything on her own. At least she acts more adult than most of these kids.
There wasn't anything he could do to stop her anyways.
”Fine. But I'm going with you.”
Kyle made sure his sleeves were still rolled up as he climbed Rylie’s back. The tabby deflated a bit as he realized it meant more running.
”Let’s go,” Kyle growled, digging his heels into Rylie’s wooly hide. Rylie trotted to the door, sensing Kyle’s hunger for adventure.

”I don't know about that,” Cam broke in. ”What about the dragon? And I doubt there are many buddies with blue eyes.”

Blair's gaze snapped to Haddie, staring at her coldly for a long moment. "Right," she said, her tone bored. "Whatever you say, shifter."

"You?" Blair gave a sharp laugh as she approached the little man. "A kitten and a tiny man? You're going to help?" She snorted, turning and heading down the stairs carefully. "Good luck," she sneered over her shoulder, tone caustic.
She grit her teeth at the stabbing aches in her leg as she descended both of the incredibly long staircases, before continuing on down a hall. The amount of scents was overwhelming, but she picking up the faintest hint of Fred's scent, and trailed after it. If something happens to Kipp and Fred and you don't do something about it, or let me out...then you are never coming out again. You can't control that. I come out when I want to, remember? Whether you like it or not.

Annie had been staring at the giant ant just outside the window, wondering if they were high enough to be under the blanket of spider webs yet. She hadn't noticed there was anything going on until Blair jumped on Ellie. She didn't think there was anything wrong with Ellie, but Blair scared her. It was almost like she was a different person from who she was before she went to look for Take, and she didn't even seem to notice she was bleeding through her make shift bandages.

When Blair stormed over to Kyle to demand she be allowed to leave, even though the real Ellie had shown up to prove Blair was right to question her, Annie was glad she was leaving.
”Let’s go,” Kyle growled, digging his heels into Rylie’s wooly hide. Rylie trotted to the door, sensing Kyle’s hunger for adventure.

"Wait! Now that we're mostly all together, shouldn't we stay together? Or, there has to be at least two phones here. What if something happens? We need someway to stay in contact. Or..." Annie sighed, "Once this thing is done, we'll all be sent back home right? Maybe the best thing to do is keep going." She kept bouncing around in what she was trying to say. Leaving them behind sounded like a horrible thing to do, especially with all the big nasty things around, but splitting up and searching aimlessly seemed like a really bad idea.

Cam eyed the girl with scrutiny. ”At least he never lead us wrong.” Cam imagined the words stabbing Blair’s stomach like a knife.
It almost seemed like she had snapped all of a sudden, turning into something cruel and unfeeling. ”Are you a shapeshifter too?”
~
”At least I'm not injured,” Kyle said. ”You act like you can do everything yourself.” His eyes scanned the room, falling on a head full of frizzy red curls. ”Haddie, you’re in charge while I'm gone.” Kyle saluted before turning his eyes back on Blair. Rylie loped after her, sniffing the ground as he went.

"You steal the bodies of animals," Charlie pointed out, becoming momentarily visible again. "There's probably a squirrel out there that looks just like you."
Haddie rolled her eyes. "That's not how it works. My DNA is completely different. It's not squirrel DNA, or human DNA, or dragon DNA. It's shifter DNA, which is kinda like all of them with a little extra to let me use all of it." she said, squishing her hands together to demonstrate. "So when I'm a squirrel, I'm my own squirrel, not a copy of some squirrel in Colorado."

Haddie nodded. "See? She gets it."

Haddie watched Kyle, Rylie, and Blair disappeared through the doorway, then turned to Cam and Clary. "Ok. Sooo... uh, yeah. Now we wait, I guess." She stretched her arms above her head, stifling a yawn.
