finally someone 'gets' it. LOL

fortunately hubby's of a similar mind, kinda but his relates more to working on cars and ham radio...
in other words, my house that we started building 15 years ago is STILL not finished. my 'kitchen' is a convection oven, microwave and electric pot/frying pans that live on the washer and dryer. my official 'kitchen' houses a stack of 4" tongue and groove red oak that's aged for better than 14 years (aka really dry now) and has various electronics living on and around it, mostly in boxes or heaps. LOL
my 'stuff' goes more toward the crafting and critter stuff, taking up part of the spare room downstairs in the basement (daylight) where I keep my incubators and the deep freezer.

Ad the USDA frowns on fresh milk and the rules are tough to follow you might find someone to sell frresh milk for your chickens. Old timers fed bread soaked in freshmilk for the chicks especially.

Funny you mention OCD. My office was pristine clean when I worked. BUt with a house full of 4 dogs, , cats and farm animals outside being brought inside by 2 kids. OY. Yes, a farmers house. I can't imagine life without the animals though.

I have friends with PRISTINE houses. NOT comfortable inviting them over. So we meet at their house!.

PS. I'm not that comfortable at their house either, so I usually stand, or sit at the kitchen table.

I think there are more than people realize. I am OCD about a lot of stuff so people think my house is going to be imaculate. But I have learned to confine my OCD only to things I enjoy which puts cleaning the house just above picking up dog poo in the yard. My chickens and pets are well cared for but my house work gets way behind. Someone called it a farmers house. Seed packets, canning jars, chicken food, buckets of dirt, wine and vinegar, material, sewing supplies and now ceramics are scattered around. I am making butter churns to ferment my chicken food. If only I knew where to get fresh milk...
Have you tried looking here? : http://www.realmilk.com/

Maybe I can start a 'milk your own' farm.

Thanks, I checked out that site. It's legal to sell it for farm animals if the seller hasa commercial feed license but no one does.

If I can find someone that has a cow, I think I can pay them to 'teach me how to milk a cow' and I can bring home what I milk. Then they aren't selling me the milk they are charging for lessons.

I have been reading this thread for quite a while... Just learning how it works and who has what for sale. I am learning how to hatch, I have my 2nd batch of eggs in the bator. But I just wanted to say I truly enjoy reading this thread! It always makes me laugh or smile! Thanks y'all! Hopefully after I learn how to hatch I can get some more eggs. I am working on a staggered hatch. Some hatching 24th, 29th, and the 31st. Keeping my fingers crossed! The ones hatching on the 24 and the 31st are some of Arielle's eggs! Chicken and BR turkey!
