Interesting. They are opening one in Burlington next year, last state in the country to "get" a Target store. We were also last to get a Walmart and a Costco. Not enough people to make it worth their while I guess.
I think ours is closing because you can shop there safely only if you have a concealed weapon permit

Here's my 1st (and therefore, biggest) fish! And yes, I am wearing gloves...not up for sticking my bare hand in a dead fish yet.


First fish, last fish, whatever - that's a nice fish ! After a bit you'll ditch the gloves, but be careful of holding catfish - barbels ? and nasty little sandpaper teeth.
Bet you already know this, but if you ever get barbed by a catfish....scratch some of the goop off their body and rub it in the area. It neutralizes it

When I was young, my mom would put breadcrumbs over the trout eyes when she baked them. She ssaid it was important to leave the head on while cooking, but not important to see their eyes.![]()
She would have to place a whole loaf over the head for me

I think I'd have to do like @sunflour and cover it up with a napkin...don't want dinner staring back at meDH has already cleaned these guys up, so I won't have to worry about the eyeball thing.
Removing the head is the best. So, how are y'all going to cook them?
