The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

Sharon my baby brother has a pacemaker and a defib thing implanted. He had a quadruple by pass years ago. Honestly I don't know how they fit that stuff in a chest . He also has a insulin pump (on outside) but, the site needs to be changed often. Has to check his blood sugar frequently during the day.
Never hear a whimper out of him. He is stoic and a hero of mine.

Anybody want some cranberry bread? The top's a little burnt cause I was trying to cook this one really gooey part and kept putting it in longer but the rest isn't. Also please ignore the disgusting 20+ year old stove. Wanted to take some pictures before I burnt it :lau

Oh Bruce, so sorry that happened to your DD2 , :hugs hurts just to read about it. :hit
It was about 10 years ago. That child has no pain receptors (she must channel @007Sean !) She had climbed up to an old platform in a tree that some neighborhood kids had built probably 20 years earlier and it was rotting. It broke out under her and she dropped about 6'. She came back up the hill holding her arm and told DW she hurt it. DW noticed that one arm was shorter than the other and took her to the ER. Luckily the specialist that deals with that sort of thing happened to be in the hospital. She took 1 pain pill during the multi week recovery period. Took 1 when she had her wisdom teeth out as well.
