yeah here to suppose to be this way the whole week altho they just say cloudy don't mention rain but its raining off and onHi Sharron! Uck, it has started raining.
Thankfully here most of our cashiers are extraordinarily good, but we do have a couple that could use some extra training on how to bag groceries. Then there are those who are overly anal about the law. Technically, if you touch a bottle of wine or beer, you have to be carded. Most just card the payer, especially since it's really obvious that Sue and I are old enough, but every now and again we'll find one who will tell us, if she touches that bag, I'll have to card her. Yes, it's the law... So I'll go put that bag in the cart. Same with liquor stores here, they card everyone who comes in the door, at least the first time.Got my shopping done and should be good for at least 2 weeks, maybe longer. Walmart was down to 2 multi-packs of toilet paper and about 8 bottles of home cleaning products (like Lysol). I didn't need either of those, so over all it was a successful trip.
Except the cashier managed to open and dump most of a container of blackberries in one of my grocery bags as she was bagging them. When I pulled the mostly empty container out of my bag and told her I didn't want them any more, she was surprised. Why?![]()

That's certainly a possibility. We're so small, you get to know people here over time and there's literally no turn over. So you can tell when someone is having a bad day.Probably not the worst thing to have a strict carding law, that protects the stores too.
I don't know what was going on with the cashier I had today. She isn't new. But she wasn't paying a bit of attention to how she was bagging things. Maybe she was having one of those "off" days we all have sometimes.
Our walmart had no toilet paper, cleaning supplies were scarce, water too. The soap aisle had nothing antibacterial. We don't use that or hand sanitizer so the only thing I couldn't get was TP which we actually need.Have you all noticed anything different about your local grocery stores lately? I need to go to ours today. With all the news stories about shortages and whatnot, I'm wondering what to expect.
Our store isn't the best at keeping things stocked anyway so this could be interesting.

Do we need to mail a priority package to you IM?
