The Old Folks Home

Periodically we get mountain lion sightings, always with the same explanation- none in the Eastern US, probably a bobcat, lynx or coyote. In Vermont, mountain Lions we’re called “catamounts,” and they are the team names at the university.

I don’t think coyotes look like cats.
Mt. Lions are definitely here in the Foothills. Luckily I am far away from there.

Nutria are back in the Delta though. They are a horrible invasive species

They are now going to hunt wolves here they were hunted near extinct
now there are so many killing cattle horses and goats who put them back here ? same with mountain goats here now so may they have to move them

Wow! Didn’t realize there were wolves in Washington!

kdogg they treat Air Force pilots the same way when they report/follow a UFO

Yes I believe I have heard similar stories about that too or cops or something too, lots of reputable people, trained in observation, not just the average person, have reported sightings of UFOs or animals or whatever else and they don’t believe them either or they tell them to stay quiet about it. Very odd.

Microchick, I would send you bunches of :hugsbut, don't want to cause you more pain.
So how about this :love instead? Wish I could make you feel all better.
Thanks DD that means a lot to me.:hugs

My knee is some better this morning. I'm going to take it easy today and work inside. I've definitely crossed turkey sausage off my 'good food' list. I had a reaction the last time I ate pizza but was hoping it was the pizza sauce causing it. I used Alfredo sauce this time and made a 'white sauce' sausage pizza. Now I know it is the sausage for sure. That's okay. I can live without it.

Whow! Down right chilly here this morning. I think it's in the low 60s which normally wouldn't be too bad but it's cloudy so it feels cooler.

My birds are definitely in full molt. The bedding is covered with feathers as are the nesting boxes.

@KDOGG331 I am in complete agreement with you. DH and I have different opinions on this subject. My POV is the quote that only humans would be arrogant enough to think that they are the only intelligent life in the universe.

Glad you are feeling better today!

Wow that’s cold. Hot here. Supposed to get to 82 today.

Mine I think are molting too cause I also have feathers everywhere hah

And that is a good quote!! I agree! I didn’t used to believe in aliens and all that and am still not quite 100% sure where I stand but with so many reputable people reporting sightings and with as big as the universe is, there is no way we are alone.

Thanks, @ronott1. I have to admit that Spinal stenosis and degenerative disc disease were disease conditions that I hoped I never had. I saw so much of it in the two days that I worked as a temporary nurse at a pain clinic. Now that I've got the diagnosis I just kinda chuckle and say 'Good one'. Not a good day today. left knee pain. I can't get up stairs or use my left leg if I kneel. The only thing I can figure out that triggered it was the turkey sausage that I ate on homemade pizza last night. I didn't eat a lot. Probably 1 large piece but obviously it was enough to set off the Gouty Arthritis. Okay so cheese pizza isn't all that bad.

In the mean time keeping my Voltaren gel close at hand, and the pain meds closer.
I had micro surgery for spinal stenosis in the lower spine 11 years ago. I shudder to remember the days before surgery!
