I think the old folks home is pretty adaptive to the needs of all it's members . Nursing home, retirement village, psychiatric ward. Personally I'm hoping for a playground with swings and slides and monkey bars.

Hi everyone- I’m recovering from the anaplasmosis and sepsis. My doctor told me it would take a month and lo, I’ve lost most of September.

It’s a hard way to start retirement. I went from reveling in all the free time to seriously ill, to bored to tears. I feel like I should start over!

Love reading what you’re all up to. Hmm, watercolors. Might be something to try!

In the 2010 census my town’s population was 666! We all hope for a change next year.

We drive just a couple of miles to the general store, garden store with some groceries and fresh fruit and vegetables, and a half hour to several supermarkets, TSC, and another farm supply store.

AND, we get to live in beautiful Vermont, almost never see traffic, and love the clean air and skiing. We have 10 acres, mostly very steep woods, but room for gardens and a big old apple tree at the top of the hill.

Love the old folks home. I can slip away and sleep a whole day and no one worries about it. They probably don't even know I'm missing

Thanks everyone. I had recently lost one that was free ranging ( a hen of course) and now 2 more hens and a rooster. Losing the frizzle genes, only one hen and 2 roos left that are frizzle. Guess I need to do more hatching.
