Sounds like you're inviting us over for dinner. I love venison.

We've got some deer in the freezer butttt (pun intended) not sure what parts are actually there. BF does most of the dinner-making. This year is the first year I'd be eligible to hunt (took the classes in spring for both guns and bows). I applied for a moose permit but was a big fat loser (Dsqard, we don't know anything about being losers on a permit draw, do we?).

Hopefully one or both of us will get a deer this year. It gets old eating tofu and homegrown poultry all the time and the deer is a nice change of pace.

I'm hopefully going to drag my butt out of here soon and get to the strawberry picking before it gets too hot. We will hopefully hit up Sam's Club for a 50 lb bag of sugar this evening and then the 2014 canning season can start!

86 degrees here (yuck). Got 6 gorgeous quarts of strawberries from the U-Pick and got home to find the guinea has returned.

Soon I'll be making those pretties into jam.

How about one prior to starting? These smell sooooo good and the picking was pretty good even if it was mobbed with people.
