I miss Maine.

Me, too! and I've never been there......

Quote: No! I love snow!!!! I had my truck to plow for many years; when I retired it I had to use a snow blower. I love clearing the driveway, the snow is beautiful in the trees and covering the ground. Took me 2-3 hours to clear 1200 foot drive. I live in New ENgland because I love the seasons, including the snowy one.

I was hoping for a few days vaca with the kids in Maine this summer, but soccer season has already started this week. So I've been thinking about going home for THanksgiving.

Thanksgiving is still a great time around here - most of the tourists are gone and you can still see some gorgeous views. In fact, I love the coast in the winter with all its shades of grey.

I love snow, too, but I don't love it when I have to go to work. I'm like a giddy little child when it snows, I love to sit at the window and just stare at it falling (while wrapped up in a blanket, fire going...). I love to sleep all cuddled up when it's blowing crazily at my window.

But I don't love getting up an hour earlier than normal (which is already insanely early) so I can get out of my driveway and road unscathed.

Although I do have to say that my upgrade in 2009 to AWD has been one of the wisest moves I have ever made. :)

Just got the pie and crumb muffins out of the oven. I probably need to bake another 2 loaves of bread but I'm running on empty.

Goodnight, y'all.

I just finished dinner, using the talapia recipe. WOW Delicious. I"d definitely make it again. I"m doing atlins so I swapped out the Planko crumbs for a few walnuts. Added a nice crunch. And a little squeeze of lemon over the top . . . yummy.

I will be certain to keep talapia fillets in the freezer.

SCG the picture with the lighthouse is beautiful! It does make me miss Maine in the summer and yes your snow picture reminds me why I don't want to move back.

Of course going for a visit during the Yarmouth Clam Fesitval to see the fireman's muster would not be out of the question. I haven't seen one of those in years.
