Too early to tell boy/girl but so far everything looks good.

I intend to take much better photos when I get to see him/her in person.

Isn't it fun to see these..and the best thing is, they can tell so much from them..if they are growing along the way they should. That looks like a nice little spine there. I'll bet you will have great photos of your grandkids. I was thinking as I posted my puppy pictures here..I need DiDi for this job. :)

I'm guessing this is a new one for you old timers.
As you may know I've been hatching a lot of chicks.
I know a lot of people rescue chicks that don't hatch on their own but in my experience they don't do well.
I helped 3 chicks yesterday. One died immediately, one isn't doing too badly but has a bit of a club foot. The third has been floundering on its back. I gave it some water and a dose of vitamins and noticed something strange.
It has a 6 toed full sized, non-functioning foot growing from its tail and another protrusion further up the spine. '
I was going to take pictures and put it down but I called the vet school to see if they wanted to have it.
They're supposed to call me later tonight.
Other than foundering on its back it seems quite healthy and full of vim and vigor.

We want to see those pics you take!

When I had my second ultrasound (with my second child,) I had not been asked if I wanted to know the gender, but had been told that it was a bit too early to tell. I was watching as the nurse paused over a certain area and glanced at me to see if I reacted. I said, "That's not the cord, is it?" She said, "No, it's too short," to which I immediately muttered, "Hmm, takes after his daddy."

She fell off her stool........

@Cynthia12
Puppy wrinkles...must...resist....

RESISTANCE IS FUTILE!

I have a line on some yet-to-be-born G. Pyrenees/Anatolian Shepherd pups that I am already drooling over. I will take two if I can get my hands on them.

Wisher when I was pregnant with DD the doc was doing an ultrasound and said, yup she has a brain. I looked at him and told him she got those from me. :gig
It is amazing how far the technology has come. The current ultrasound picture she sent looks a lot like the ones I had when I was pregnant with her but I have seen ones where you can see facial features and so much more detail. You almost know what they will look like before they are born.

Cynthia those puppies are just adorable. If I didn't have a million things going on right now I would love to take pictures of them. :love

That's funny! I have a line I use all the time when someone says I have good-looking kids. "They got ALL their good looks from their Daddy!" Then I grin and quietly add, "I've still got mine." I would love to claim that as original, but I heard my dad say it many, many times when I was a kid.

When we were looking to buy a house, we found one that we liked, and hired an inspector to go through it.

His report?

He said that after looking at the wiring, the walls, and the structural integrity, his conclusion that if we bought it, we should offer it to the fire department as a practice burn.

Well, we really didn't have quite enough money to buy the place, and since we would be buying it and then having to spend the money to build a house......well, we passed.

LOL  He thought you should BUY it and then offer it to the fire department?

Exactly! Which means we wanted to pay lots less for the property. The owners of the house disagreed. They said the black mold hadn't bothered them, they had a giant party and the house had NOT fallen off the foundation, AND no fires had been started by the wiring, so :plbb the house was clearly perfect.
