Yeah, it's more like looking at a 6 month old and saying "That's a cute baby"
Thank you! So it seems the Araucana is the key. I've tried several Maran-Ameraucana and Australorp-Ameraucana crosses without success .I have a Japanese Phoenix-Americana cross that lays a grayish-green egg, but it would be pushing it to call it an "olive-egger", it is so pale. : )

Cream legbar x FBC marans or Partridge penedesenca work too.

1) my car is super full of junk, we were closing down a daycare this weekend and all paperwork etc. etc. etc. is wedged into my car. I just remembered I need to use it, to hold 6 people, in 20 minutes.

2) I need to go socialize with a bunch of people in 20 minutes, and I have been working all day, AND I AM TIRED :hit

3) I am also pretty stinky and filthy, and don't have time to bathe because of number 1, but ah, no one will even notice, it is Homer.

Tomorrow is pre-op. Then no food after midnight so dinner tomorrow is Maddy's choice. Probably Chile's, she loves the table side guac. And we just watched the Lego movie so now "everything is awesome!"

Enjoy your time together, and know - many prayers are being said for Maddie.

But how can any discussion on biting flies be complete without this guy?

We have horse flies around here that look like this, and are nearly 2" (5 cm) long. Even the horses are afraid of them.
