I came home from work yesterday and was ecstatic to see that the roofer had finally showed up. I had paid him way back before we had grass (so like, maybe 3 months ago? 4?) and he said he'd likely have time in August or September to come and do the job. Anyway, I knew the roofer had shown up because when I pulled into the driveway yesterday I saw this:

Now I have to be completely honest. That's not exactly what I saw. You see, I have a bunch of self "free ranging" birds who fly out of the poultry enclosure and free range all day without human involvement in the process. There's usually about 5 to 8 of them out at any time. I drove in and had to shoo the turkey and 2 chickens off their new Poultry Playground (patent pending).

I knew the roofer wasn't going to be happy when he came again and saw the poultry prints and poops on his fancy metal bending machine.

I was right.

I pulled into the driveway today and almost died laughing.

Junkyard art is so cool. Who looks at a bunch of random hubcaps and thinks, "chicken!?"

I truly envy some people's creativity. I'm more of a practical person.

Yep, me too, I look at that very creative piece and keep thinking "Those are SO EXPENSIVE! I can't believe he didn't sell them, I wonder how much money he could have made, surprising no one has stolen them, wonder where he lives"
