The Old Folks Home

Up till recyclable bottles we used to pay a deposit on our soft drink bottles... Then wed take em back to the store and get our deposit back... Those bottles went back through the loop again several times... you could tell because there would be acutal wear on the glass...

I remember cashing in on bottles to get candy.... LOL.

Some, like the Coke bottles, would also have the city of origin stamped into the bottom of the bottle. When I was a kid, we had a game we'd play; the person whose drink bottle came from the furthest away was the "winner."

Deb, pretty basic first day, getting a computer, meeting loads of new people and getting user rights to things... I really liked the people there, I think this will be an adventure.

Awesome first day....

Amazing how many pass words you have to have.... from software access to computer access to server access.... I think the last job I had the count was eight just to do my job.

wow I never knew that.... awesome... I remember when I was about ten or eleven the first 7/11s that came to town... they bought out all the Speedy Marts... That was where I cashed in my bottles... took a wagon to the store.... It was in the middle of the block with NOTHING around it but desert.... Except a bilboard sign... we kids would climb up inside and peek out at traffic. Mom would have messed her pants to know I was doing that....

Oh that was in Vegas. There was a hundred acre lot behind that store... I built a tree house in a Mesquite tree back there... I was always coming home with thorn wounds....

Deb, I think universal user accounts are the norm nowadays, but of course some tools might still use other logins.

Of course things change.... thats good.

At Qualcomm I had two computers one Dos based one Unix based... each computer had its own log in... password...
then the different software passwords:
email
Unix
time cards
Oracle

thats up to six... Each with rotating expiration dates... at different times... and of course you couldnt use the same one twice.

Someone has offered to take all of my extra roosters...... (On facebook).

But the fact that they just said they wanted them... And didn't make any side comments..... I dunno.... But I wonder if they want my roosters for.... A kind of fighting not to be mentioned on BYC.

I am all for eating chickens...l but I am against that "sport"

But I wanna get rid of my roosters....

And I worry that if I ask questions, they will just lie.

I dunno.... Just feeling uneasy.

I know when I originally thought I was moving to Virginia I got rid of all the boys I was raising up for freezer camp by advertising them on the local version of Craig's List. Pretty sure the man who came and got them all did it for the meat. I would just ask the person if they intend to butcher them.
