The Old Folks Home

Thank you. She's seen it, and she loves it. I made this quilt as practice. Usually I make them with an intended recipient in mind. With this one, once I made the top it still just didn't speak to me. I wasn't a fan of the bright colors (the quilting and washing made that reduced a bit) so I posted it on facebook with a "who wants it?" tag. She jumped. I like that method - someone gets something that they love, and I get rid of a quilt. No more guessing whether the recipient will like it or not!

That's a good idea.

Hope you like it. Sorry about ruining the surprise but it is almost done. We have pieced the rows together and I'll finish up with the sashing borders and binding and then get it to you. It does take quite a long time to finish so not imminent by the way but wanted you to know we hadn't forgotten about your fly fisherman

Thank you. I'm hoping to have the top together this weekend so I can start the quilting. The sashing is a nice royal blue really sets the rows off.
I had a lot of fun picking rows to go with this. I'll be doing at least 1 more of these quilts with the rows I got last summer and quite a few table runners with the patterns.
