The Old Folks Home

I've gotten those "wind eggs" or "fart eggs" from quite a number of breeds over the years. I don't know if I have ever gotten one with no yolk at all; though some have only had a smear of yellow material that really couldn't be called a proper yolk. When a Serama does that, the egg is about the size of a jelly bean.

I raised chicks for several years to keep us in eggs after Ron suggested it. But We have decided that when these three are gone that's it for us.
We might change our minds later who knows.
We are just going to keep the few cows, 2 dogs, and 4 rabbits.
Our next adventure is just around the corner.

You could still keep 3 to 6--It is hard though.

This was in our newspaper today:

I did keep more but that's all that's left. And we are planning on being gone more often so it will be easier to leave food and water out for fewer animals.
And our neighbor down the street won't feel like we are taking advantage when we ask him to keep an eye out for our place.

I got mine yesterday and have to start wrapping them. I guess people can pretty much guess what they are getting by the shape. Maybe I could throw in an old shoe so they can't figure out lumps in the package

Roll them up inside paper towel tubes and wrap them to look like "poppers". Toss in a bell or some wrapped hard candy. Or, if you wish to be really diabolical, rice. It will make the package sound like a rain stick. That should torment them till Christmas!

(yes, I was very good with packages that drove my kids nuts when they were small
