The Old Folks Home

Grew up on a tractor 350 and 450 all standard.. had a 3/4 gmc when I came home from college
went up from there it was on the tree
I had peeps come to life last night went in on 11/10 but wanted to wait till
all figured out I guess but bouncing peeps 8 of 12 not bad odds

Beautiful little peeps...now just keep them warm and watch them grow. I just went out to check on all our chickens, ducks and geese. They are certainly doing a lot better than I am in this cold. So far, here in West Texas, we have hit 28 degrees and have 2 inches of snow on the ground. I am already ready to start complaining about the heat of the summer.

We are hovering between 36 and 38 but a very cold wind from the north
we usually do not have harsh winds here

Seeing hunters with rifles around here is pretty common.
I was still kinda shocked one day going to work early in the dark still on a back road seeing a guy in full camo pop out on the road in front of me with a shotgun!! I didn't know what was up, no cars anywhere and no houses.
Wasn't till I got to work and clocked in that I realized it was April 1st, first day of turkey season duhh.
Buddy of mine was pulled over for speeding, trooper asked for his license and registration, he warned him that he did have a loaded handgun in the glovebox. Trooper asked him if he had a concealed carry permit, yes, never asked for it and ended up just giving him a warning for the speeding.
Then a few yrs ago I had just loaded a deer in the back of my car, was getting ready to leave and a undercover game warden pulled up next to me. Checked to make sure my rifle was unloaded, checked deer and my licenses, then a couple buddies were driving by and he stopped them, asked if they had any guns, both had handguns and one had a rifle. He said he didn't care about the handguns and checked the rifle then left. I asked them what did he mean he didn't care about the handguns, we can have them loaded, huh? Much easier to poke a handgun out the window and pop a deer than a rifle...Wow, never even asked for their pistol permits.
Nice living in a rural area I guess.

Went to the lung doctor today.  All the progress I've made is reversing.  I have bronchitis/pneumonia again.  I have a lung function test tomorrow afternoon, then a PT scan on the 12th.  That will satisfy the insurance company's criteria, so he can scope them, take specimens for the lab to analyze, and get more proactive with whatever is causing this.

Wow... well wishes and prayers.

We had an International tractor. My Grandfather had a Massey Ferguson Diesel too. He also sold used equipment and once he had a D4 cat. That one steered with levers and was very fun to drive. I have also driven the three on the tree--I still remember the shift order for it.

Odd what we remember....

I am sorry to hear this!

Do you wear a mask when out in public? I would minimize that as much as possible, especially going to movies. Might want to skip church for a while too--So many sick worshipers will not stay home and still insist on hugging and shaking hands...

Oregano oil often helps me with sinus and lung illnesses.
