Being an EMT for over 30 years, I've seen a lot of blood and other stuff. I can handle that. But I have told my crew that if we ever get an eyeball call, I'm driving and I'll wait in the truck while they do what they have to do. There's just something about eyes....

That does sound like a bit of workLike most orchids, it has a sort of lock-and-key relationship with one particular pollinator. I understand commercially grown vanilla is hand-pollinated; I don't know if the people with the paintbrushes are required to hum "Flight of the Bumblebee" while they do it, though.![]()
I have looked into it..... Very labor intensive the Vines take several years to mature...My DW asked about growing vanilla here. It is quite expensive now and might be a fun thing to try. I have not looked into it yet though

The vines can grow 400 feet long.
They dont take cold at all.
