The Old Folks Home

I do have to say that the snow does make for pretty pictures in their own way. Yesterday we got up around 30 degrees and I swear I must be getting used to the cold because it almost felt "balmy" outside. Only one extra layer needed to go out and take pictures.

BTW snow also makes finding deer a lot easier.

Love this photo!

Months ago I mentioned frozen fog and hoar frost. Here is an example of what happens when you get frozen fog with cold temperatures. It is supposed to get around 30 again today. I almost feel like I am with Oz

You would love going down into our river bottoms here in Spanish Fork to take photos. There is some amazing frost..frozen water on branches..just beautiful! Bet you could get some beauties.

Hi everyone!
Hap p y Sunday:) glad to hear it seems all the old folks have weathered the storm so far :clap

Yea for me :D ! Actually got my new desktop up, including installing all the updates AND Windows 8.1 (only took 4+ hours to download, no kidding) and did it all without borrowing anybody's teenager! :celebrate

Well two and a half hours of invigorating snow scooping and shoveling, and there's a passable path to all the animals. It's still snowing, but it is supposed to stop soon.

Caramel was almost the poster goat for "don't lick cold metal objects"

I love the goats. Looks like they have a great home

I don't know that they agree right now. Pip (the long eared one) is hoarse from screaming all day. And I mean ALL day. I don't let the animals out when it's snowing and blowing like this (I don't need to shovel the inside of the goat haus, too) and Pip voiced her unhappiness all day long. The goats are the furthest away from the house, so they get shoveled last. After I got a path out to the goats shoveled and the door opened, Pip jumped out, started to shake with cold, then jumped back in the haus. I had to convince her to come out for cookies. About 20 minutes later it was time for her to get grain and get shut up again for the evening. I anticipate she will wear herself out screaming in another couple hours.

Why go for this update? I just had to update/replace my puter also (old one popped & snapped and puffed out smoke when I turned it on last week) I now have Win 8.0, why 8.1?
