Cleaver, for sure. But I like to fiddle in Photoshop etc also. When I can I try to line up my shots but I don't bother if I'm using the phone camera. I have a tiny tripod it's maybe 5 inches tall and the legs are tough and flexible, I've gotten some nice pics with that silly thing. Best Christmas cracker ever!

I am completely blown away by the great photos you can get out of a phone these days. It really is amazing. Those gorilla tripods are really handy too. I do "fiddle"

with my pictures in Photoshop too. Mostly to adjust the color a bit or little things. Sometimes I do more (layers and such) but I am just really learning how really use the full program. There are a ton of things I don't know how to do yet. I have a book and I look up videos a lot on how to do different stuff. The main reason to have a DSLR is the ability to shoot in RAW format. That format allows you to correct a lot of shooting mistakes like adjusting exposure and such. Looking forwards to our trip tomorrow down to the Grand Canyon for a few days. This is my graduation/birthday present to myself.

Have fun on your trip.

Oh yeah! Can't wait to see those photos! Maybe you'll see a condor, have fun.

I'm so sorry to hear about your puppy, Felix and Karin! I completely understand, we had to put down my sweetest black lab pup who was about 14-15 who had liver failure. It's so hard, but you definitely don't want them to suffer. Give Miss Karin a big hug from me!

Have tons of fun on your trip, Didi!

A buddy of mine had to drive past the casino on his way to and from work every day. It was about 3 blocks from his house and on the river next to the bridge he had to cross so he literally had to drive past. Occasionally he didn't make it to work. Needless to say he was down to the casino a small fortune. One day he won $30,000. From that day forward, as he drove past the casino, he'd look that way and say "heck with you" (in more graphic terms) and he never went back.
That's literally the best story I have heard today. Love it. I'm 15 min from La Downs Racetrack (never went) and 20 min away from the Riverboat Casinos. I gave one of them my $10 once and lasted 25 min on the slots and never went back. THINK of all the money I've saved over the years. My DD Aimee's 1st set of in-laws went to the track, boats, and bingo. Reported a loss of $90,000 on their taxes one year. Died broke. I think the wife is still alive but not much money. Very sad. One of the reasons Aimee's first marriage didn't last was that the hubby took after the parents.

SCG will be on her way to AZ tomorrow. DH and I are picking her up at the airport in Flagstaff for our adventure to the Grand Canyon. :weee
