Whoa, CC. Now that is one heck of a mess. Hopefully the situation will be cleared up swiftly, and any wrongdoings rectified.
Not bantams, just young birds. The Alhos do lay pretty small eggs though, it's a traditional Finnish landrace, quite a small bird, but not bantam small. And they make up half of our flock, bringing down the mean size. The Alhos are now 38 weeks, and the other three pullets and the roo we have are 26-29 weeks. I'm expecting egg size to still increase. The Sussex started laying just a week ago and is already up to 45 grams. The olive egger and Marans have just experienced their first broodiness after first laying for a month or so. The OE laid her first egg after that today, 45 grams as well. The Marans will still take some time as she stopped sitting the nest the day before last.
