I don't think it's a 75-lb turkey. I grew a 56-lb one once and it barely fit in a commercial oven.... And it was an ordeal for the folks at the special events restaurant to get it to the table. I think the guy ended up giving it a bear hug delivery.

(And it certainly wasn't that big at T-day....had to wait for Easter to get that size)

Correction.... Actually, it was 56 pounds dressed out. It was 75 lbs live weight.... I remember because the darn thing nearly broke my nose as I was weighing it.

(Broad-breated white turkey tom.. I had two. The one I kept and froze the parts I was eating for years, it seems.)

Kiusa and Vaiva luckily have very soft mouths. Kiusa once brought me a Mickey D's cheeseburger, there was not a single hole in the paper they wrap them with. That's pretty good.

That is a well-trained dog. Mine would be like "Burger? What burger?" (pickle burp)

She did the same thing with a couple of steaks, packed in paper. Very soft mouth, it's amazing. The other lab would of have eaten the steaks and the burger, luckily she's soft with birds though.

Hey Bama, I've had no pc since august something and am just now reading some old entries and got a real hoot out of you comment about not daring to leave your your "sstuff" at home if you came to see me. Was that because you know something about us old hippies in the famous city of "Keep Austin Weird"? Or did I somehow let on about my past? I was a flower child alright with hair almost to the floor. Guess I'll read some more to see what ya'll have been up to. : )
