have any of you used "Copper Sulfate" in you water for your chickens and or turkey?

For Algae? thats about all I know Copper Sulfate is used for...

Hmm, I use organic copper sulfate fungicide spray on my tomatoes to prevent late blight. Seems like I read some warnings on it. Might not be safe for chickens?

The hatcheries are even selling it for chickens and turkey. My husband said they also use it in the catfish ponds for fungus.

El Nino should give us rain off and on all spring and summer...

Well that is certainly nice of El Nino. He's been dumping lots of rain on us - backyard looks like a jungle and it was just mowed recently.

Can't afford it often.

Hair sheep are a good compromise.... they love grass but also browse... I want Barbados or Katahdin... I hear Katahdin are good milkers And good meat.

Hair sheep are generally leaner too.
