So sorry about your troubles and your ram.Just "wow" and a huge hug. Boy, you are a survivor! (and by definition a true farmer)
I have a backyard skunk that walks on the outdoor basement window ledge ,while I am on BYC , some nights.
I've gotten a bit carried away but this has ended up being very carthartic for me.
No, you're not. The last thing that I "enjoyed" him in was probably Top Gun, with the minor asterisk exception of his cameo in Tropic Thunder where they made him into a bald, potbellied, angry old man.
Couple pics for your enjoyment. Or not. Either way.
I have a hard time wanting to watch anything with Tom Cruise in it, he's such a weirdo, shame, he's a good actor. I think Jerry Maguire was last one I watched.
Pretty funny how many people I've seen get fooled into liking and reposting this pic on Facebook. IDK maybe they never saw Tropic Thunder, still cracks me up though.

Now it's time to go outside and get that new door up on the coop breezeway and the permanent gate posts in the ground for the littles grow out pen.
There is no answer but omg...why would someone put the pieces in the base. Keep them together in a bag...set them a the base of the headstone...DON'T put them in the base!Couple pics for your enjoyment. Or not. Either way.
This is a break I fixed yesterday. I will infill it today, hopefully.
View attachment 1091610 This is a stone I decided to start Monday PM. Top broke off and it's leaning badly down a hill towards the road. Peek of concrete at the base so I know it won't be easy.

Well, I got it dug out and got the stone out with a helper and got the front of the concrete mess out. I had to get the boys and the tripod to get the back of the concrete slab out.

Out of order, but we got this massive one out last night to level it... that should be fun, the base is 6 inches deeper on one side.

The boys got these out - they were leaning forward against the fence. They cleaned them and I repinned and remortared them yesterday with the help of the tripod. Please note that I did not whack my head or get tangled up in the tripod or the fence. Win!

Ok, back to my concrete mess that we pulled out of my hole. Oh, guess what's embedded in it? Yeup, the top of the stone. ARGHHHHH who does things like this? Grab the hammer and chisel, some earplugs and about 10 hours...

Yes, I did it. That entire top was engulfed in concrete.

This was the front of the concrete hell in my hole. They poured a front and a back and then put the stone in.

The gold rush without the panning...lol.catalytic converters have gold in them.
A sure thing if a person knows their stuff. Interesting! We sell our batteries too. We also found a place that takes them and gives more than the $5 refund. Equipment batteries bring more. I think we got $145 last time we brought some in. That sure makes a person's day!Mostly platinum. Not all are worth a lot but most are. Scrap yards know which ones they are just by looking at them. I got $80 for a small one off our dodge stratus. Some are only $10- $30. Heck even old dead car batteries are worth taking there for the lead. $10 or more depending on the size/weight, only get $5 for them on trade in when you buy a new one.
Wish I knew converters were valuable yrs ago, I've thrown away or gutted many unaware.
The pic? Nah, from Tropic Thunder, a so dumb it's kinda funny spoof movie.didn't know that good day when we can learn blood screen this morning then run a few things to my brothers in Yelm

On my Mom's side of the family, the Pingres came to California in 1848, just before the gold rush. They did not come for Gold but raised Sheep. That is a much better life than the the "Gold Fever" life.Seen on the news a while back California is experiencing another gold rush, all the rain and runoff this spring stirred some chunks up.
@ronott1 have you had your pan out?
I think we're just a little bit crazy myself...lolJust "wow" and a huge hug. Boy, you are a survivor! (and by definition a true farmer)
So sorry about your troubles and your ram.
Thank you everyone for your kind words.Funny...but th e stink induced headaches would make me grumpy.
It was a very interesting read, thanks for sharing. Sorry for all of the losses, and for the ram that just died. I think someone must have given you that fortune cookie curse "may you live in interesting times", because you somehow totally skipped boring.
I didn't see that one, funny thinking about a fat Tom.I did kind of like the mission impossible movies.
I derive great pleasure from reading about your cemetery escapades. Great stuff!
All of this chiseling etc, does that mean your knee is at 100%? Or close?
Funny!!!
A nice coop! What a thing of joy!![]()
