The Old Folks Home

Now for more important news. I've heard from my granddaughter in Naples FL and they are all ok!!!! :wee There were 7 of them (mostly zoo keepers) that hunkered down together in one of the workers from the zoo's house. (thought they would be at the granddaughter's sweetie's house but there was a change in plans) Other than some minor roof leaks etc. the house and everyone in it are just fine. They were also far enough inland to be safe from the surge but could still have problems from flooding, that's a wait and see. As for how the zoo fared, no one's heard from the ride out crew yet.
I heard somewhere they evacuated the Prisoners from a Jail and put all the zoo animals in there.....

I'm not a sports fan but, even the price of concert tickets is insane. I haven't gone to any since the early 70's.
Same here...and even then, they were too loud for me. I loved listening to music, but I just didn't care for how loud the concerts were. Went to Moody Blues...with Three Dog Night as the side show..they got pretty popular. Had a joint passed my way, and I passed it on..without taking a puff...didn't need to! Should have seen that place! I could hardly see the singers for the smoke..could hear them though. (felt kinda funny when I left..yep!) Years later, saw Helen Reddy. Not quite as loud. Didn't notice any smoke either. :D Or little funny smoky thingys being passed around. Oh the 70's. And today? :(

Hi ya Deb. Lots been going on..health wise, and family being here while their home was being finished. They are out now after 3 and a half months. I kind miss the noise and action. Some. :)
Me too my BP exploded... figureatively... but at 189 over 100 needless to say my docs were looking like a deer in the headlights.... Kept asking me if I was having heart palpatations and looking at my legs...
listened at my heart and its just cranking away... swelling in my legs was the normal stuff...

So not they have me on meds to slow my heart down Meds to drain me of liquids meds to protect my kidneys... on top of Metformin and glimipeerid I dont know how its spelled.... and baby asprin.

Been on them a month my bp came down to 145 over 88 and the docs breathed a sigh of relief... considered it "managed" But then another two weeks and Bam my blood pressure went down to 122 over 71 or something like that.... I spent the last forty eight hours sleeping...

Its NEVER been that low.... and boy am I keeping track of it now...

Oh man that's some high blood pressure. Mine is fine, .. on meds that keeps it under control, but I'm still struggling with the equilibrium. I just had a MRI on my brain in my neck, and now get to go to a neurologist because it was an ENT that had the images ordered, of course can't get into them soon. It's in November, but got a phone call today asking me if I could come in tomorrow, but my husband would not be able to be there tomorrow. So she's keeping me on the cancellation list. Also having horrible pain in my shoulders. Had that cortisone shot in the left shoulder, hasn't done much good yet, 5 days after it. He wants to do a MRI on it if the shot did not work. He says I have an extra long bone going on in my left shoulder. Born with it, didnt know until now. May want to take a look. All the fun joy of getting older... lol..a soft..lol. it's been years since I've spent this much time in dr. offices.
