Weak bleach, weak oxine and citric acid area all good. Hatching studies with citric acid showed a higher hatch rate.

Myth: cleaning eggs will ruin a hatch...very not true based on poultry research!

Best hatch I've had in a long time (27 of 32) were Trader Joe's eggs, so supermarket-cleaned washing! I think FRESHNESS of eggs is paramount.

Kimchee has become mainstream and the best is homemade or fresh. There are many recipes out there and the fermentated value is highly touted. Don't get that stuff in the jar at the supermarket... You know, the one that smells like composted garbage or bad gas. My college roommate was a kimchee fanatic. It smelled bad, but not as bad as my roomie that enjoyed Limberger cheese. Sigh... Why me?

Chobani greek yogurt has three types of probiotic cultures, and is all natural.
Do they have it way over there? They make it not to far from me, drive by their plant when I go to the Adirondack mts.

I love love love Greek yogurt I get Fage zero fat.... I can eat a cup at a time or more If I want to on Weight Watchers.

I put it in the bowl and dump about a cup of frozen blue berries... you have to stir quick because the blueberries frees the yogurt... then I squirt no calorie Sucralose over it all.... Bettern Ice cream.... Berries have loads of anti oxidants and we all know yougurt is beneficial... and the whole thing is zero points....

YEs we have Chobani in Sprouts grocery store... I will give it a try ... but once Greek yogurt came out in general we stopped eating anything else. I even use it to make Tartar sauce and use it in soups...

LOL we made dad eat his Limburger out in the garage.....

I will give making it a try when I am feeling energetic. But there is a huge Asian community here in San Diego and some Grocery stores that have all their products labled in Korean or chinese or japanese or Taglog.... you name it.

We're in hospital again esphogas infection had some test done making sure no more bleeding. It started Monday went to Dr. Then peg Dr following day, he was so sick admitted Wednesday. The acid was chewing the outside of his stomach. Now on a road to recovery. Are you feeling better?

Thank you, yes, pretty much back to what passes for normal as far as being over the Norovirus is concerned.

Sorry to hear DH went through a bad patch. Glad he is feeling better. Never rains but it pours. Did he ever get rid of the peg?

I've been playing temperature roulette with the Brinsea tonight. After my last hatch I tore it down and gave it a good cleaning before packing it away. For some reason today the temp kept creeping up to 100.2. Last hatch it stayed a constant 99.7 so I've been diddling with the thermostat since about 4 pm. Got it down to 99.7 to 99.9. My auxiliary thermometer/hygrometer is saying 99.3 at egg level once it settles down so I guess I'll leave well enough alone. If it keeps acting up, I'll call Brinsea on Monday.

Hmm maybe it's best just leave it for now. Hubby still has peg tube, must go through swallow & Speech therapy. He's failed 2 swallow test but each tech said it wasto soon, & that therapy would help. So hopefully once on the mend he can start

to both of you. Sounds like you got yourself a suborn guy with a fighting attitude. This is one of those situations where that is a good thing! Prayers sent for his strengthening and healing and for you as his moral support and caregiver. You guys hang in there.

Good Genes?

I hear ya about your knees, Cap. Doc's nurse manager said that the flu patients were starting to thin out. Not nearly as many positives when they test so I appointed for the 16th of next month.

I have two big nodules on the side of the middle finger of my right hand and a new one on the dorsal knuckle on the left. Not knowing if he can inject them or collapse them but I'm willing to let him do something. I dropped 5 pills this morning and when I tried to pick them up, I picked up 4, dropped one, picked up 5, dropped one, picked up one I dropped, dropped another. Just couldn't keep them in the palm of my hand. Very frustrating. Plus I've been getting muscle spasms in my back again so it's time to get get things knocked back in line again. Maybe my knees will stop aching then, also.

I'd like to say getting old isn't fun but heck, I've dealt with this most of my life so it's nothing new.

I think i have spinal stenosis, tingling in feet and hands sometimes. Always one problem or another.
