Good morning everyone hope y'all have a fantastic day:frow

I just don't know what to think anymore. Wal-mart is shutting down our store here......and Dollar General is not going to renew their leasre....
They are putting a Dollar General in our town, I don't like the idea. There is only one small convenience store/gas station in town and I kinda like it that way. Heard some people think it is great, 'they'll do good here'
How so? Whatever business they bring in here will take away from their neighboring stores, it won't bring in any new sales only so many people here. What that store gains another will lose.

Worked another 12hr night shift this week beautiful weather all week, rain all day today and thunderstorms tomorrow, another week of 12hrs next week. I might have to mow the lawn between thunderstorms :hmm
Good news though finally training someone that has a brain in between their ears and wants to work so I might get moved to the job I took back in December some day.

Sharing this in a few different places. This old guy was awesome! Have to share an interesting thing that happened today. Came out of Walmart getting into the car, saw a really nice looking truck pulling around and parked beside us, loved loved the color! So did Scott. So as the older gentleman got out of his truck, I commented on how we love the color. Well, this young man, ahem.. at the age of 86, was ready to talk! He thanked us for appreciating the color of his truck. Started telling us about how he has restored cars. His arms were bandaged. He's standing there talking, and all of a sudden he says... man this hurts! Of course I ask, what happened? He says, oh I was attacked by a mountain lion up behind my house today. Been to the Dr. (What??) He says but I killed him. Then he goes on to talk about the cars again. And he keeps talking. So I can't get the chance to ask about the mountain lion thing... LOL... Until he says again... Man this hurts. So I asked him... you killed the lion? He says yes I shot him. Then he goes on to talk about restoring cars again..then again, he says man this hurts. So I ask you had a gun on you? He says oh yes, I always have a gun on me. Then he lifts up his shirt and sure enough there is a gun on his hip. I say, oh you have a concealed weapon permit ey? He says again, I always have a gun on me. I am older, and live in a big house. I have one by my bed too. I don't trust being alone at this age. I said well I guess it's a good thing you had that on you today. And he was saying again, yeah, man this hurts, but that lion isn't feeling anything.... I kind of chuckled. LOL then back to talking about cars. This man, 86! Could have been killed. He did say that his arms were ripped up all the way to his elbows. All we could think was, wow. Says, I've only lived here for 12 years, I love it here. I can't remember exactly where, but yes, up against a mountain, high up. He had moved here from California. Told me it would be a good idea for me to carry at least some pepper spray with me. On my hip. ;) He has some of that as well. More was said, it was great! Just don't want to over post.
