The Old Folks Home

I think I want a Roomba too. My son gave my brother one and he has run it exactly 2 times since Dec. He says he hasn't needed to use it.:lau:gig. Maybe I can talk him into giving it to me.

I don't want my son spending that kind of $$$ on me.

I bought my parents one, they made me take it back. Wish i kept it.

:highfive: that sounds a lot like my philosophy ... but I need a Roomba!
I need one too, I think. I'm not sure. My grandma had one (one of the funniest things I ever heard was my 100-year old grandma saying, "I turned my robot loose today...") she would follow it around and if it was going somewhere she didn't want it to, she'd put her cane in front of it to turn it around. I used to stay at her house when I was on call with the ambulance. I decided to use the Roomba in my bedroom. I swear that thing was following me! Everywhere I went, it would go. I finally crawled over the bed to get across the room from it, and the thing went under the bed and came out where I was!
I took my medicines this morning, including the prednisone. And she's off......
I've only been on Prednisone once. It was great the first few days. I got so much done! I was like, "Hey, look what I can do! Sleep? Who needs sleep? Where's the food?" Then it was over. Oh well, it's a good thing. I don't know if I could have kept going like that for long. I hope you start feeling better soon.

And now for some chick pix to brighten your day...

This is the latest batch (20) of Marans and Marans-cross (the gray ones) that hatched out on the 7th.
(Yeah, just try and get chicks to pose!)

Roomba is absolutely a drunk robot. It also has inappropriate relationships with a few different inanimate objects in the house. It clogs every day, but we set it to keep running after the bin is full until they cycle is done, so that helps. Then I just pull a large, compressed wad out of the bin every day. Even with the Roomba we have dust/hair bunnies, but at least the floor isn't crunchy on a daily basis anymore. I asked for it for Christmas 2 years ago and got it, best gift ever. Well worth the price.
It also follows me to the bathroom every single day. Not sure what's up with that, but it's like it learned it from the dog and cats.
