Micro, are they really considering giving shots to people through their car windows? Isn't someone supposed to keep half an eye on them for a minute or two after the injection? At the Urgent Care where I used to work, they took your blood pressure (maybe all the vitals? I can't remember) for each injection. Just to be good docs/nurses. Huh, drive-by flu shots. This is worse than self-checkout!

My girls seem to be back to normal, except for what I've decided is the nearing-POL craziness Ronott described. Lots of bawk-bawk-bawk announcements that go on for long periods of time, lots of low growly demands for treats (that also go on for a long time), scratching around in the nest box without producing any eggs, and an intensity about the pecking order that wasn't there before. I want to let them out to eat up these grasshoppers but it was quite a scare the other day.

But then, they've been funny since I brought them home as little fluffers. They're still funny, but louder!

Reason I was in Syracuse recently is DW got lucky and got a job in our town post office, only one person there figured someone would have already been selected. Bad news was she was told two days training either Syracuse or Albany, both two hour drives, into cities, so she made me take two days off to drive her. Was told two days rest local.... Found out two days then a additional seven. I can't help have to cover a vacation so no days off, she about quit over it scared to death having to drive into the rat race . It'll be over 2,000 miles of driving all together.
And just stupid stuff, mostly just what we call cbts, safety, work place discrimination, violence, sexual harassment, etc, carp you should be able to do on a computer much closer than two hrs away....

Still...Congrats on the new job!

I feel like the Beverly Hillbillies heading into those cities... Loved that show. Just recently heard of another one I never have watched but looking for it now streaming, 'Ma and Pa Kettle' can't believe I never saw it sounds like something my grandparents would have watched. DW said her mom had the series on VHS way back when she was a kid. Haven't been able to find it free streaming anywhere. Any of you all ever watch it?

I remember watching several of them way long ago. Too long to remember enough to relay any info about them. I do remember Richard Long of Big Valley fame was featured as a son or some kin to them. I remember him looking out of place compared to the rest of the family.

At Vons we have equal amounts of check out lines to self serve lines... Usually four or five checkers to six self serve stations.... That group has an attendant. To help people with malfunctions.

The robot lines are shut down after about nine or ten oclock... NO Alcahol sales allowed and NO cigarette sales allowed... come to think of it I havent seen Cigarettes sold in Vons of late... Scratch that last.

Peak time there will be very few in each line. The Self check out are usually people that are in a rush and dont have alot in their baskets...

Me personally I dont have an issue with it.

Used to be grocery stores had alot of Back ground staff... Butcher shop etc... But lately I am seeing some parts of the stock that depletes till the Venders get there. Chips, and Greeding cards Canned goods and sodas... The late night stockers are still there I see them just about every time I go in.

I dont go to the grocery till about eleven oclock at night. If you go on thursday night you get a jump on the friday sales. Usually only one checker on duty and one Bag boy. The self check out lines are roped off.

I am I had a Cardiologist appointment last week and she took me off all my Blood pressure meds except one that is still at half a dose. One I had been on for a very long time... Hydrochlorothiazide....

My weight loss has moved to a more sedentary pace but I am now solidly in the two hundreds at 297. Oh and I did some adjusting on my own. Gabapenton for me is three 100 Mg Capsules a day. I was already taking two at night. Nerve pain from Diabetes will be with me forever. But my dizzy ness was getting worse and really causeing me fear and depression.

So I gave it a week and went off my morning dose. From DAY 1 my balance was almost normal... and only got better as the week went by.

My stamina isnt there but one thing at a time.

too late to wish you sweet dreams penny - it's 4:45 am here. No bus trip till Wed. so I can sleep all day if wish. House is cooling off ( no a/c needed ) so great for sleeping.
