It is usually a couple of days from tearing up the nest box until you get the first egg.Micro, are they really considering giving shots to people through their car windows? Isn't someone supposed to keep half an eye on them for a minute or two after the injection? At the Urgent Care where I used to work, they took your blood pressure (maybe all the vitals? I can't remember) for each injection. Just to be good docs/nurses. Huh, drive-by flu shots. This is worse than self-checkout!
My girls seem to be back to normal, except for what I've decided is the nearing-POL craziness Ronott described. Lots of bawk-bawk-bawk announcements that go on for long periods of time, lots of low growly demands for treats (that also go on for a long time), scratching around in the nest box without producing any eggs, and an intensity about the pecking order that wasn't there before. I want to let them out to eat up these grasshoppers but it was quite a scare the other day.
But then, they've been funny since I brought them home as little fluffers. They're still funny, but louder!
Good luck to everyone with your allergies!
Any day now!
