Neither are cats! :lau

Pup peed on DH's computer. Computer not working. DH not pleased Think it was one of the unneutered males that did it. DH offered to do the job. I hid the razor blades.....

Just made it in. Chased down the four 3 month olds and stuffed them in a pen in the coop. Saves me chasing them down when it is almost dark. Man those little suckers are FAST!

Before that, DH had some work to do on my Mercedes. Pulled it out of the lean to and under a tree to work in the shade. Buck and Spot decided to nap in the back seat. I went in for a minute and came out to find DH ranting at Spot and chasing her into the house. I asked what she had done wrong as she is a pretty well behaved girl. He told me to look in the back seat of my car. I did. She had found a mouse nest. Not unusual here. We have to check the cars regularly for them but this one was completely undetected.....under the headliner over the back seat area.....which is now hanging in tatters....on my classic almost cherry Mercedes...But Spot found it.:hitBad bad bad German design and bad bad bad dog. The headliner is actually not connected to the roof of the car but free floating. I mean what were they thinking?

Dogs are really batting 100% here this week. Makes me wonder what the cats are going to destroy in order to catch up?

Actually, cattle dog pup was running around the yard with us having a grand time chasing grasshoppers while their 'mama wannabe' dog was doing the damage to the car. Geesh. I never would have thought she would do that but then again, she smelled mice and went after them. I'm kinda grateful that she found the nest in the space between the roof of the car and the headliner but couldn't she have just pointed with her nose and barked?

And the scalpels?

I shudder to think!

She wanted to do the complete job, bring the vermin to you dead.

:gig

She brings us dead volls all the time and leaves them on the back door mat for us to find. Mice are referred to as crunchie munchies and she gleefully devours them.

As for the cats, me too.

DH and I were talking today and I said that rescuing the 5 cattle dog pups probably wasn't one of our smarter decisions but my heart is telling me that we did the right thing. Every time we go to that Amish business they have different dogs. They go through dogs like we go through kleenex when we have a cold and think nothing of discarding them in the same manner. Dogs are livestock to them and they all know that if you have livestock you are going to have dead stock even if they have to reach that point at the business end of a .22.

FYI, currant plants will root from cuttings. Told my 82yr old FIL about these plants I found, brought him a branch I figured poisonous, he popped a couple berries in his mouth :eek:and said black currants. He has red and white but no black, these suckers are growing wild. Told me to put the branch in water and it'll root... It died..
All the leaves falled off and the berries dried up. Been three months dead just haven't thrown it away.
Holy carp, green stuff growing from it and roots. And buds up the rest you can't see them though. Boo the cat checking it out also.
