The Old Folks Home

thanks kdogg , I read the article re: opossums - very interesting

You are very welcome, I thought it was too. They’re quite fascinating and misunderstood creatures. :)

But I still don't like them at all.

Totally understandable!! I personally think they are rather gross and creepy myself but they apparently do a lot of good so if I ever saw one, I’d probably allow it to stay. Maybe move it elsewhere on the property. But thankfully I have never seen one. I am sure we have them but never seen one. We do have skunks, raccoons, foxes, coyotes, hawks, owls, etc. etc. and of course deer, turkeys, chipmunks, squirrels, rabbits, crows, song birds, etc.

Raining did the dishes had meds myself oatmeal is cool enough but letting the rain slow a bit maybe before I go clean chickens
We got some rain last night. Had my window open..could.."smell" rain. Love that smell. Supposed to get a storm today, thunder, lightening.. temps dropping into low 30's.

Don't know about currants but I know forsythia will root starts if you lay a branch on the ground and weight it down. I started with one bush and have little forsythias all over the place around it due to this talent. It also sprouts babies from its roots.
I've been wanting a forsythia bush. Neighbor has one. Will have to ask for a start. My DH calls them Forcynthias. :).
