The Old Folks Home

Hey went bought Grocery today then had to put it all away make dinner my choice BF said we could go out I was home gone all day no thanks wanna stay home so we will have Chinese tomorrow and now tonight taking the blue marans 3 from the silkie tonight setting the silkie up to take on up to 10 speckled sussex

Yeah, down to 31 here tonight. Will probably go lower. It was colder this morning than they predicted it would be so anything goes.

I have a few plants that I need to get in today that won't make it though the freeze and need to harvest my Rosemary plant to cure.

We had a late wet cool spring that in June segued into a hot wet summer. Now it looks as though fall will be cooler than normal and wet. Everything I read says this winter will be one for the books....oh well. There is always next year. I'd give anything for a warmer spring than we have had the past couple three years.

Morning woke at 8 here drat all anyways it sure has cooled here low 40's BF does the early let out of the birds... We did take the blue marans from the silkie last night so wait and see on them to raise the speckled if it isn't too cold to ship them ? not certain what hatchery the feed store uses

We might be having our "Indian Summer" now. 36° this morning but low 60's in the afternoon. I know that doesn't sound like summer to many in the south.

Pure maple syrup here is pricey. I'll stick with the Log Cabin that is HFC free.
It isn't cheap here either, usually about $40/gallon. I grew up on Log Cabin Maple Syrup (they could call it maple syrup way back then), then I moved to Vermont and found out it wasn't even a tiny bit like REAL maple syrup. One of my indulgences. I also grew up on Imperial Margarine, haven't bought anything but real butter since I moved here 40 years ago.

And it also seems to make my anxiety worse too for whatever reason. And of course the depression which really isn’t bad when I actually get up and do stuff and eat right haha still slightly there though but that’s probably because I never last on the healthy eating thing long. :oops:
The next time you have a streak of healthy eating and want to fall off the wagon the next day, don't. Add 1 day of healthy to your streak, then dive into the junk the next day. Maybe if you keep adding one day to your streaks they will become the norm.

We are supposed to be getting hard frost - and lows in 20's and 30's. Think the rain will be turning into snow early this year. Asi es la vida.*

* such is life
We usually get your weather in 2 days but it looks like not this time. Maybe the jet stream is taking it down to @microchick.

That is true, real maple syrup is MUCH better but it’s only an occasional treat since it’s pricey plus I’m trying not to eat that stuff lately haha

And margarine is :sick

Real butter is definitely much better. We usually just get Land O’ Lakes or Cabot but sometimes we splurge and get Kate’s. I think it’s like hand churned or something or else small batches and from Maine haha though of course Cabot is supposed to be from VT. :D

And that is an excellent idea!! Thanks! I think I’m gonna try that. Although I think my problem is I don’t really even go whole days without it. I eat like a meal or two healthy and then junk. :(

Also sometimes I’m in a hurry and don’t really have time so then I just eat PB&J. Like last night and this morning. Although I say that but then am usually really slow anyway so realistically I probably do have time to eat healthy.

I should probably work on it harder. :hide
