The Old Folks Home

4 inches of snow on top of an inch of ice and an additional two inches of snow.

4 inches of wet...soggy snow with my nets all on the ground under it....:hit.

@perchie.girl, I am so happy for you! I knew you could master this challenge. I knew you have the strength within you. So in short, I will simply say....

I have odd shaped runs so for the large areas I have heavy duty deer net. It seldom tears but it will break out at the hooks if enough weight gets on it. All I'll have to do is restretch it once it thaws out.

I also have some tied netting which I love but because of the weird shape of my run I have to piece them together. What I think gave way mostly was some net that was on it's last legs. Bought the CARP company direct from China and trust me it was no bargain. It's slated to be replaced this spring but I don't think it's going to make it that long.

Sometimes it's more about keeping the little idiots in more than keeping the hawks and owls out.
Sure hope it all goes well for you until you can get the new netting. :fl
