The Old Folks Home

I'm about 95% finished on my project. It's a monitor roof for the main part of the chicken run. I'll need DH's help to get it up there, probably on Saturday. Then I need to add the sheets of polycarbonate. I'll post pictures when it's all done. From far enough away that you can't see the edges that don't meet well. :gig

Monitor roof? Like in monitor leezards?

Monitor roof?
3KillerBs has posted about her first coop that had a monitor roof.

That was what inspired me. Excellent venting for on hot summer days (I'll probably add a shade cloth too).

I want a solid roof over the run, but don't want to use tarps as I did last year, because it was dark and gloomy in there. I'm hoping the extra light will help my 17 week old pullets lay this fall/winter...
