How long did the injection work?

The Princess has had two hip injections. The first lasted six months. The second was six months ago, and so far so good.

I think that is why my hip feels better when I get a shot in my knee!

Maybe, and maybe you are walking differently and putting less stress on your hip.

l try not to sit as long as I used to and that is helping I think now. Sitting is worse than walking I'm told now about hip pain.

Those steroid shots?

I just got one today, my first, in my shoulder. Doc didn't sound all that hopeful about it working... adhesions... Yada Yada.... issues.... Yada Yada.... several different things going on in my shoulder... yada yada.... doc was saying maybe a saline shot in the ...uh... bursa sack (sp?) Would be needed... but we would know in a week...

She also said that it usually took 3 days to kick in.

Those hip injections are a miracle in a syringe. I was to the point of not wanting to walk at all and after the injections in both hips I am almost normal again.

Sadly, it's a temporary fix. You can only get those shots every so often.

Both my parents worked. Mom was a home economics teacher, Dad was a Train Dispatcher on the D&H RR.

Plus there the stay at home mom is nearly the thing of the past and the two career family is the new norm. Getting the kiddos off to school is just a part of the equation. Change the time school starts and you throw a new monkey wrench into the equation.

We, for the most part, are so lucky to have been kids when at least one parent was home during the day when being a 'house wife' for us ladies was considered a fine and noble profession not to mention calling. Now both parents have to work in order to give their kids the type of life most of us enjoyed when we were kids.

Progress in reverse? Don't know what else to call it.

I know but temp is better than nothing. I've been good now for over 3 months. 3 a year would be a miracle when you can't have a replacement.
