The Olive-Egger thread!

thanks for all the info on pifcture taking. who would it would be so hard to get a decent picture of a egg.
my EE/BCM pullet started laying yesterday I think she laod a brown egg. Her mother laid green eggs. I have 5 off springs from that hen so I still have chance of getting a oliver . The mother got killed in the dpg attack I had a cou[le months ago. She was a nice big hen and all her off springs look just like her. In waiting for the pullets to lay

By the way Merry Christmas to all From sunny California love this subject EES and olive eggs

Certainly not an Olive Egger, but that egg there is called a fart egg.

It won't happen very often, if at all again.

YES I am sure, it was born, hatched on Sept 21st - Equinox and a FULL moon, and this was laid today in the box that she and her sister and mother sleep in.......

I have been reading the posts and would like to produce some olive eggers.I am a longtime ameraucana breeder and need a rooster about March to hatch some.It seems marans are the preferred breed.I am in central Il. anyone close by have a rooster for sale ?I realize any brown egger will work but everyone seems to prefer dark brown.
