I'm 19, have no job but my farm, which most of the money comes from the chickens who I love, so most of my time, thoughts, and energy goes to that. . .

I'm still on the frantic search for a new egg color idea too.

- Seriously after F2 Olive Egger crossings back to blue eggs. . . I can't think of anything else that's good. There's still pink eggs to think of, but crossing them usually just results to pale, boring eggs. . .

OH!! There was an idea I shared with Wynette once on green speckled blue eggs.

I have some chicks from her and a nice dark marans roo which I'm hoping will lay even darker olive. Have some nice blue Ameras hatching at the end of this month that are going to be used to try and get some more green/blueish olive eggs.

Today I was outside messing around, and I saw Miss Olive checking out the nests ...

First this one ....

Darn, I can not get a good picture of the color. Believe me, it is nice and dark olive!

Miss Olive was hatched on Halloween (from one of Wynette's eggs), so she is 23 weeks old (and so beautiful!)

I got a first egg too, from one of my welsummers. (hatched 10/27)

It was under the feed bucket, guess she couldn't take the time from eating to go lay it.
