I got 3 Black Copper Marans x Paint Crested Easter Egger eggs to hatch. Hopefully they will be pullets and with crests and will lay Olive eggs. Just hard waiting for them to lay if they are pullets.
I haven't ever answered on this thread.
I crossed some Eater Egger hens to Polish rooster to them. I mixed I. Some more Easter Eggers and a few crosses if other breeds. Most are half to three quarters Easter Egger.
Right now I have a half Polish and half Crevecouers with them trying to get a little more crest on the offspring. I keep adding in some EE to help keep the blue egg gene in them.

That would be great having someone join me in my evdeavors for crested EE's. I'm not realty aiming for the olive egg but it'd be okay if they laid them. I do have a couple of EE's that lay close to Olive eggs though.

That sounds like fun, we can compare notes! I'm aiming for more olive, but I also want to make a crested blue-green layer. Lol! I really hope to get some Araucana soon, so it will be a while before my project gets going.
My rooster was half Crested Cream legbar and half Ameraucana. I crossed him with my EE hen and ended up with the most adorable crested babies. Here are some of them:
The rest won't load. Oh well.
The above chicks are from my Black Copper Marans, so they are olive eggers.
I've been getting nice shades of olive since adding OEs to my flock last year. The F1 pullets (BCM over Lavender Ameracaunas) are going to be bred back to a new BCM cockerel from Helen Byers line hopefully getting even darker shades next. In addition, I'll be covering some BCM with my Lavender Ameracauna Cockeral for some new F1 OEs. I'm going to breeding Lav Amer, BCM, OE, EE, Buckeyes and RIR this year. If anyone is interested in hatching eggs or chicks this spring or pullets/cockerels in the fall just PM me. My first batch will likely be ready in March. I'm in NE Ohio and currently am not shipping birds/eggs. Oh, and I'll also have some turkeys processed fresh two days before Thanksgiving. Here are a few results of the F1 cross. I kept the Cockerel "Beast Mode" simply because he is a stunning boy. With his single comb, he likely carries the brown egg gene and will not be used for breeding. My pullets are all a gorgeous shade of grey with beards/muffs.
Turned out to be a pullet OE.
Turned out to be "Beast Mode"
My Lavender Ameracauna I'm using to cover some of my BCM pullets.
One of my OE F1 pullets.
Looks like I need to get some OE specific pics of eggs. This basket doesn't show how dark they are.
Beast Mode - I think he's gorgeous. Just eye candy for the property.

My girl just turned 5 months old...she is 1/2 fbcm & 1/2 ameraucana...are oe's known to start laying at 6 months or are they like ee's that usually start to lay at 7-9 months old?
Black Copper Marans over crested cream legbar. She's about 5 weeks here and they get copper/gold in the hackles later on. Not just crested, but sexlinked with the CCL as the hen.
Here is an Isbar over Marans, with another crested OE directly behind her. The Isbar cross is very substantial, almost the size of our BCM pullets of the same age. She is near POL now so we're waiting to see egg color.
