It is possible--you are only getting eggs from one pullet and she determines gender. Some pullets\hens will lay mostly one or the other more.

The closest I have to a pink/plum egg is laid by a wheaten Marans. It does not look like a traditional Marans egg, -much lighter, and with lots of bloom. And while I was hoping for Marans eggs at the time, I really like this color because it is different.
