Yeppers, HOPE you got a blue! Can't wait for pics! CONGRATS!!!!

Hi guys! Sorry for the delay with the pictures, we had a feral dog pack scare this weekend and I've been triple checking my fortifications and adding electric fencing ever since. None of the dogs got into the the run and they were sure trying. Luckily, I got in touch with the best Animal Control Officer EVER. She happens to live down the road from me AND keeps chickens as well, so this lady is SERIOUSLY on the call!

Anyways, yesterday I sat down with the babies and mama and watched them dust bathe for 15 minutes before it occurred to me, "Ugh, grab your camera!!" Of course, when I got back they were finished and as a result, very dusty, but still made managed a couple cute pics!

The whole gang!

Neeley, that blue one with the tiny red dot on its head - I had one in my last hatch that looked exactly like that! I kept looking & looking, and at first, I thougth it was a spot of blood (when it was wet), but then it dried just like yours! Man, that's just CRAZY! I don't know if I took a pic or not...I'll go check! They are real cute!

Birch Run - pretty girl you have there!

Hello Olive Egger fans! I just got this little one today, and hopefully it is a pullett. She is supposed to be a Marans and Ameraucana cross:

What do you think she will look like? She has yellow feathered legs!

What color(s) are the Marans and Ameraucana? I'm not that great at this stuff, since I'm just starting out, but it looks like there might be a blue or black parent?

I'm soon to be crossing FBC Marans hens with a splash Ameraucana roo. Wondering how that will work out, so I'd love to hear what color your parent chickens are....
