It is! It is a 1/2 and 1/2! It is the first time I've ever gotten one like this... pretty cool!

I got a new egg in the coop yesterday, and it almost gave me heart failure because...................it was NOT olive! Not olive, or green, or even a hint of green. I started to panic, thinking how can I possibly get a plain old brown egg with crossing pure Ameraucana's, (all babies have a perfect pea comb) and then it occured to me.......................One of my English Orp girls laid it, they are a month older than my olive egger girls. I just figured since they are slow on maturity, that I wouldn't see any eggs for 8 months or so.

I have 2 Rose Comb White Leghorn pullets (I was told they were 3 months) in with my OE pullets and OE cockerels. The OE girls are about 5 months. I expect eggs soon...any day really. One of the OE girls was sitting on 2 VERY white eggs this week. These OE's are F1's from my flock...so I was like "what the?". I called the guy who sold the leghorns to me...turns out the leghorns are really 6 months...and it is most definitely their eggs I was finding. I completely understood what you were saying, so it was funny! I'm sticking to it!
