I love, love, love that story!
He's a keeper for sure, but maybe a girlfriend or three would decrease the number of complaints that you receive daily. Just a subtle suggestion.

The future definitely holds some girlfriends for him, which will hopefully serve a dual purpose in also reconciling my husband to chicken ownership with an occasional egg or two! Thanks to all of the wonderful information available on this board, I thought that

• 1 mottled cochrin bantam hen
• 1 mille fleur d'uccle bantam hen

might be well-proportioned and friendly girlfriends for him and alleviate some of his grumpiness (and complaints)!
