Sorry about your chickens...

Good luck on your fancy flock- throw some silkies into the mix!

Oh I have Silkies. They're small enough and gentle enough to be in the Bantam Zone (the future home of my banty flock). It will be comprised of Silkies, Nankins, and d'Uccles. I have the Silkies and the Nankins...the d'Uccles will be coming at the same time as the Sultans.

Oooh.. tell me about the sultans when you get them! As you can see from above, I have house chickens... and it sounds like they are also very quiet (allegedly) and mellow enough to be caged. But I haven't found anyone that actually has them to ask!

Will do! I've wanted them for a loooooong time so I'm really looking forward to them!

Hello everyone! Question here: do buff-laced Polish come in bantam?
The Polish breeds do come in standard and bantum.
A standard Polish Female is about 4.5 lbs. That is pretty small vs my RIR and EE. The eggs are small. If your using them to cook with, I use two polish eggs for one good sized regular egg.
Hope this helps.
I know at TSC they will have the Polish in with the Bantums.
You will recognize them with a look of a "cotton ball" on their heads. Too cute for words.

I currently only have one. This is Peabody, at 5.5 weeks. No mohawk on my little one, more like a Gregorian Monk - feathers all around EXCEPT the crown 🤪🙄 But Peabody is a whole classification of mood. Still no idea of sex or class. Looking a bit on the splash side on the front, though. Although I do love my Welsummers, Amberlinks & Delaware girls, I am kind of sad that Peabody was the last Polish in the bin....I never imagined I'd ever have a favorite until now. 🥰
Very cute. Plus one leg is partially feathered like a silkie and the other is not. Too cute.

Your Polish is a Pullet. Aka: Female.
