Hmm this one is a bit tougher I’m leaning girl on this one too, but I’m more 65:35 whereas the other I’m more 75:25 The angle and shape of the crest is sort of in between the “girl” and “boy” shape. But the angle is similar to your other one. You can see in the one of mine, it’s more angled and narrow…and I think this one is looking and acting like a boy.

Theoretically yes! :-D Nature hates to do anything concrete and easy…but so far I feel like it has worked for me

So quick question. I have two white crested black chicks in with larger breed chicks, (just over a week old) are they okay or is it a problem? The one seemed to be struggling and I'm shocked she's still alive but now I'm concerned they are both getting roughed up or maybe they dont like the feeders with holes in it? They just don't seem to be doing as well since I moved them to a larger pen. The other chicks love it, but these two don't seem to be thriving. Any tips?

I personally think they are a little delicate as chicks.. plus the vaulted skulls are actually soft. So one good peck can kill them or give them brain damage. I kept my LF polish chicks with my bantam chicks. They outgrew the bantams quickly, but temperament, they are similar.
